Hotel de Oriente
Hotel de Oriente was the first luxury hotel in Binondo during the colonial era. Even Jose Rizal stayed in it when he came back from Hong Kong. This faithful replica, based on archival records and extant photos, is now our premier convention center in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. With three floors, it has function rooms that can accommodate intimate parties of 10-30 people. The Manila Hall at the second level can accommodate a banquet of 500 to a maximum of 600 people. It even has its own theater with stage. Café Marivent, temporarily housed in Binondo Hall, is an all-day dining venue at the ground floor that can comfortably sit 400 to a maximum of 500 people banquet style.
The highlight of Hotel de Oriente is its lobby. Covered with Philippine wood, designs have been created fusing Filipino images with Western motifs. The result is spectacular. Come and experience Hotel de Oriente, it will surely be a treasure in your visit to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.
Beyond the desire to make a replica of Hotel De Oriente, the owner, Mr. Jose Rizalino Acuzar wanted to celebrate Philippine Art in this convention center. The interiors are filled with architectural ornaments ranging from wood mosaics, sculptures, plasterworks and paintings that highlights Filipino’s creativity and skills. The masterful artworks of varied forms that were conjured inside the workshop of Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar have helped transform the local everyman into a skilled artisan.
Holding significant events in this location such as the APEC Workshop on Fiscal Management Through Transparency and Reforms and the APEC Senior Finance Officials Meeting last 2015, Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar in Bataan proves to be an ideal place for corporate events that lets you indulge in our historic culture.
